Departure Time
Departure time is 10.00 am. We would be very grateful if you would adhere to this time as this allows us time to prepare the cottage for the next guests.
Clean Bed Linen and Towels
Please strip your beds & put dirty linen & towels in bath upstairs.
Please do not take your towels to the beach.
Open wood fire
This should light fairly easily. Occasionally due to wind direction, the fire may smoke. We would suggest that you build it towards the back of the hearth & get it going well to draw. However, sometimes if the wind is adverse, I’m afraid there will be little that can be done to stop it. We do have the chimney regularly swept.
The first basket of logs is free but additional baskets can be bought for £5:00 from the owner.
Heating
This is on a timer coming on 3 times a day. Please ask if you have other requirements.
Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi Broadband available.
Water Heating
This is on a timer coming on 3 times a day
Water Softener
We keep this topped up with salt, so if it bleeps can you press the “set” button twice or failing that switch off at the mains.
Waste Disposal
There is a recycling bin provided for tins & plastic bottles & a crate for recycling glass bottles. The bins are situated in the gulley in the parking area..
Refuse Collection
Rubbish is collected on a Wednesday @ about 8am.Please make sure it is tied up in bags in the bin & the owner will put it out
Fire Extinguishers and Blankets
Kitchen – fire blanket & dry powder fire extinguisher.
Sitting room– a water extinguisher
Smoke alarms are fitted in sitting room & on landing.
Outside Lights
These should come on automatically. There is a torch in the cupboard by the kitchen door & one in lobby outside downstairs shower room.
Situation of Stop-cocks
Under the sink in the kitchen.
Fuse Box
This is located in cupboard by front door. If the fuse blows unplug an electrical instalment & reset the trip switch. Please inform owner at next convenient time.
Parking
Please park on hard standing outside cottage. Maximum 3 cars. Please avoid blocking our neighbours cars.You will appreciate that space is limited for cars & if you do bring more than 3 please discuss with us options for parking elsewhere.
Pets
One well-behaved dog is welcome. Please keep your dog under control and clear up after it. Pets are not permitted in the bedrooms or on the furniture. Please do not leave your dog in the cottage unsupervised as this can result in considerable damage to the property and distress to the dog.
